The Rowplanter provides a modern and more manageable alternative to the age-old technique
of traditional gutter planting. There is no longer any need to wrestle with long
sections of awkward guttering. Instead, the Rowplanter offers a lightweight and flexible
alternative. Plants such as herbs, vegetables, salad crops and bedding plants can
be grown in plastic ‘rows’, thinned out and then easily planted, when strong enough,
by simply sliding the entire contents straight from the plastic row into a prepared
trench, ready spaced and with no disturbance to the roots. The Rowplanter is ideal
for sowing a succession of crops such as peas, lettuce, radish, mustard and cress
in raised beds, or for bedding plants and herbs in troughs and window boxes. Every
pack comes with two rows, each with one end open, measuring 33cm (13in) in length
and made from lightweight, recycled plastic. They are held upright in a holding tray
with a clear plastic propagating lid. The sturdy design means that it can be re-used
again and again, giving your plants a great start in life.
